First Light

I have no idea what was going on.
All I remember was running. From what? I had no clue. I just had to get away. I whipped back and forth, left and right as my body ached from moving so quickly. I breathed heavily. Cold air around me making my insides nearly freeze over. My feet were icy cold and made me really uncomfortable. I turned around to look behind me as I scrambled as quickly as I could forwards. All I saw was a bright thing, slowly getting brighter and brighter. All hair stood on end. What...what was it? Why was it chasing me? What did I do to deserve this?
Looking back was a bad idea. As soon as I turned my head back to face forwards, a huge boulder sprung itself up and out of the ground. I gasped as both of my front legs slammed into it. I flipped and hit the ground. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I looked around me, confused and disoriented as I tried to gather my thoughts together. I looked down to what seemed to be a large pool of..something. What was it? I moved a foot around and it seemed to move away. I lifted myself up and my body seemed to drip from the remains of it. What WAS this? Wait. Something isn’t right here. Where was the bottom? I couldn't see it.
I leaned down to inspect the deep liquid beneath me and stood up to get a better look. My eyes grew wide when I saw..something. A huge beast deep underneath me moving..fast. I started to pant again. This thing started to glow just like the bright thing chasing me. I freaked out and proceeded to run right across this pool of weirdness. I have no idea how I did it, but I had to get away. I didn't have much time to question it by the looks of it. I bolted quickly and reached a hard area. At least there was no more of that wet stuff. The sky above me began to swirl and I made the same mistake of turning my head back to see what was happening. This creature erupted from the pool brightly glowing and staring at me. I kept running as I watched it. This thing hovered in mid air for a moment before it bolted towards me, charging far faster than I was able to run. Right before it got to me, my eyes opened.
Wait.
My eyes opened.
I squinted and stared the light right in the face. I freaked out and squeaked. I tried to move my body but it felt different. It was a lot harder to move than when my eyes were closed. I lay there, still, waiting for my demise. After a few moments, nothing happened and I started to calm down. Man was this light bright. I can't..I can't see anything. I blinked a few times. Maybe it was just something in my eye. Nope. It was still there. I moved one of my paws in front of me to block out the light and I let this new world come into existence. Around me was more of that goop. I looked further and I could see large white blocks of something floating across it. What the hell? My head turned to the right and there were large grey hard things just like the one I was laying under. This was weird. Why wasn't anything attacking me? I put my paw back down and the light hit my face again. I blinked quite a few times and squinted, trying to regain my vision. I managed to move myself back towards an area where the light didn't hit. I blinked a few more times and looked back around, studying everything around me that was happening. I found it hard to stand up so I just lay there, observing. It wasn't long before I had actually started to get cold. I moved into a ball and my foot happened to get in the bright light. I gasped when I felt warmth and jerked it back just in case I would get harmed. That's weird.. I didn't get hurt. I moved my foot slowly back into the light. Wow..that felt nice. I managed to turn my body around and backed myself into the light as I felt the warmth overcome my body. Yes. This is nice. I kept my eyes out of the light's way and closed them again. Maybe this time..I wouldn't have such horrifying visions.
